7 Days More

March 22, 2009 at 9:30 pm (Specimen Two: Ixion)

Just another seven more days and I’ll resume work on Specimen Two: Ixion. Over the past month – when I’ve been busy with my final year project – I’ve figured out the problems and inconsistencies in Draft One’s plot, so now I have a whole list of solutions to solve them when I write Draft Two.

Along with that, I’ve also fleshed out and improved upon the plot of the entire series by adding a lot more subplots, twists and characters – all of which I am very, very excited about.

Seven days.

One week.

The One With That Personality Test

March 17, 2009 at 11:31 am (Days of my Life (Journal))

You’ve probably seen it countless of times by now, if not, well, I have and I finally decided to have a go at it to see why everyone is saying “Omg it’s so accurate!”.

What’s my response for it?

Bloody hell, it really is quite accurate.

Personality Quiz

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

- I tend to hear that people don’t like me for being so straightforward though. And I would call the latter as being a more impartial person than an efficient problem solver.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

- I don’t really know this yet.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

- This seems to be going on the right track in this very period of my life =) *hint hint*

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren’t interested in wasting time with people you don’t really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

- Definitely. Right on the dot.

Your views on education:
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don’t succeed. Don’t give up when you haven’t yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

- So very true. But I don’t find myself using anger to cover up how I feel when I lose control.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

- I’d like to believe the first part to be accurate. The second doesn’t quite get it right though… And my friend, Cleone, would know how true the last statement is ringing right now.

If you’ve read deep enough at the few certain things that I’ve mentioned above, you’d come to realize that I’m actually trying something out in my life right now. What exactly, I’ll stay my words for now but it shares a theme with what I do here in this blog =)

That will be all for now. I’ll be heading down to Suntec this Thursday with my friends and most likely on the weekend as well, so expect photos then!

UPDATE: Too freaking crowded this year for me to get any decent pictures =(

The One Where I’m Busy Shooting

March 5, 2009 at 1:06 pm (Days of my Life (Journal))

If you don’t know by now – or you’re just a new reader – I’m a film student in Temasek Poly so the word “shooting” mostly means “filming” when used by me. It’s been very busy over the past couple of weeks, especially since I’m the screenwriter, and it’s very tiring because we’re in the middle of Production right now. However, once we’re done with Production and we enter Post-Production, my workload will lessen by a whole lot which means…

I’ll have time and energy to start writing again =)

I’m honestly not doing any writing at all for the past few days because I’m simply too tired to do so, both physically and mentally. But this will hopefully change after this coming Sunday because according to our schedule, that’s our final Production day. After Sunday, I should have the time to start reading and writing again so Specimen Two will begin to progress further once more.

Oh, and I got a new phone =)

Samsung M8800 Pixon

I’m loving this phone so far - just got it two days ago - because my last phone was a Samsung as well (slide-phone) but it was a freaking old model and I actually downgraded from a HTC Touch - to get and mp3 because I need one more than a PPC phone - so to say that I was happy with my last phone would be a blatant lie.

Surprisingly though I actually used my last phone for more than a year and it served me quite well. It was really just a matter of getting used to the lesser amount of functions and the slower interface and the lack of camera, or rather, the lack of a camera I find good enough to be used.

The Pixon is like a major upgrade over my last phone but because it’s still a Samsung phone, everything still feels sort of familiar to me. And the great thing about it is that it puts me back on the top amongst my peers, because everyone is finally using touch phones now – lol you should have seen some of my classmate’s faces when I first got the Dopod in sec 3 or 4 - and they all have like 3.2 or 5 megapixels camera, with some xeon flash thing that contrary to what they believe is actually quite crappy.

This phone I just got has an 8-megapixels camera and the camera’s hardware - for more advanced user - is second only to the LG KC910 Renoir amongst camera phones.

Freaking awesome.

I’ll write a review for this after a couple of weeks to get a feel for it first, which most likely will be after I get the review for Clannad up first – yes, I still remember about it.
