The One where It’s A Busy Week

November 11, 2008 at 1:37 am (Days of my Life (Journal)) (, , , , , , , , )

The final week of the block - I really need to write a post about my school’s timetable block system - is always the busiest week, because we’re given our final assignment the previous week. And that means I have to finish my final assignments (I’m talking two modules) which leaves not so much time for other stuff.

I’m still writing every night, doing just simple corrections these couple of days because I’m usually too tired to think of creative things. But I’ve woken up at 3am in the morning two or three times this month just to write down some idea that came to me.

Crazy? Yeah I know.

Plus, this Friday is going to be the release of World Of Warcraft’s second expansion pack! And it is like just telling me to stop writing and enjoy the game for like a whole week before I resume. But of course I’m not going to do that. I might do a little less writing but I’m not going to stop entirely. Right now the rewrite is giving me some problems as well but I’ll discuss on another post in the proper category.

Oh and once this week is over, it’ll be exactly two more weeks to SITEX where I will hopefully get my VERY FIRST laptop!

*runs around screaming like a psycho who left the asylum too early until I run into a wall and knock myself out*

I think some of my friends think that I’ll never get a laptop - both Poly friends and old friends - because I plan too much and wait too long. They think I’m trap in this “But if I wait a few more months, I’ll get something better!” mentality that basically has no end.

The truth is that I do have that mentality, but I’m also realistic. I wanted to get a Macbook earlier this year but I didn’t because new models were coming out - and they did - but I didn’t need it then so I didn’t get one and chose to wait. Now I need a laptop - but no longer a Mac because of the premium price - and I’ve done enough research to tell me that now is also a good time to get one.

So trust me when I say this time that I’m going to get one.

As long as it’s within my budget, that is… =)

NOTE TO SELF: Write a post on Temasek Design School’s block system, and a post on the two laptops I’m looking out for in Sitex.
