(12) Her Hero and His Love: The Rewrite
Building Draft Two’s Foundation
These few days will be spent mostly on the Chapter Outline which I’m still working on – I have many more details to add – and reviewing the first draft, to see what changes are needed to be made for Draft Two. The longer I spend on the Outline, the shorter it’ll take for me to finish writing Draft Two because the chapters will be planned out in a more detailed manner.
Once the Chapter Outline is done, I’ll start work on Draft Two which shouldn’t take more than a month, depending on the amount of schoolwork I have.

And the verdict…
Draft one sucks.
I *karrrrr pui* on Draft One on the disorganization of the chapters and the new plot elements are nothing but confusing.
*KARRR PUI*

Draft Two shall take care of Draft One.

Chapter-by-Chapter Outline
I’m just doing a new chapter by chapter outline today. It basically means what it says, which is to outline the entire story with mini-summaries of each chapter. I learnt to do this after writing my first 150,000 words novel and being faced with no easier method to skim through the entire story…
Reviewing the plot back then was not fun.
Period.

The One with the F1 Accident

I’m just thankful it wasn’t the F4 button.

(9) Her Hero and His Love: The Rewrite
Draft One Completed.
And I say that proudly!
Wahahaha, I’ve finally written an ending that I find satisfactory enough to be called an ending. It’s a completely different ending from HHHL, chances are you’ll hate me after reading it, but I find it the most suitable since this story now set in a series.
That’s all I’m going to say about it to prevent myself from typing out any spoilers.
Now I’m going to rest for a few days to refresh my mind and my creativity (What miniscule amount of it, however.) before I start working on Draft Two. Right now I think that the story is too “draggy” at certain parts, mainly because I added in a lot of chapters but hardly removed any. I’ll go through the comments you guys gave me at the old blog – no they’re not deleted, I just hid them. And I’ll do my best to address as many issues as I can in the second draft.
I’ll try to shorten the story in Draft Two since I believe that the only reason HHHL managed to capture so many readers ( I don’t know about you but 25,000 views is a lot me.) is due to the short length of the story. Most novels out there in bookstores are like freaking thick (Harry Potter anyone?), which is naturally a turn off to those who don’t particularly enjoy reading.
Once I’m done resting, I’ll have to read through the whole of Draft One and list out all the changes I need to make. And for the sake of chronicling, I will include some of the changes to be made in my next post.
Oh and one last thing.
After Draft Two is completed, I think I should be able to post up some excerpts for you guys =)

The One with BOOOOOORRRIIIIIIIINNNGGG!!!
Complain more and I’ll start cam-whoring.
Seriously. Don’t force my index and middle fingers.
I do realize that there really isn’t a lot to read about on my blog, mainly because I’m not an outgoing person while adding the fact that the quality of my phone’s camera is laughable.
Allow me to repeat myself, “laughable”.
A 1.3 megapixels camera with plastic lens and horrible light sensativity can only create a very small, pixelated and dark image. Anyway, I’ll talk about camera another day with most likely a simple guide to either “Basics of Photography” or “How to choose the best Digital SLR Camera”.
For this post – since it’s like 2:20am right now – I’ll probably just talk about what kind of posts I intend to write in the future.
F.r.i.e.n.d.s title-themed posts:
Incase you don’t know, Friends is the best sitcom on the face of this planet ever to be created by any organism of the homosapien species.
These are basically just random posts that don’t belong to any particular categories. All of them will more or less be related to my life be it directly or indirectly.
Reviews:
Book reviews, Movie reviews, Technology reviews and Game reviews. All I need to do is setup a standard rating system before I can start reviewing properly =) Which is really quite a difficult task I believe…
Guides:
This sounds interesting as well. I’m not trying to brag or anything but I’m sure everyone is good at something right? I myself am very interested in technology and I’m usually the ‘go to’ guy in class when someone’s computer breaks down. Usually.
I’ll start creating guides soon which will hopefully be varied in topics, rather than solely focused on Technology-related issues.
Rantings:
Every single day that I set my foot outside my doorstep, I will encounter something that I can rant about. However, ranting isn’t really that entertaining to read when you don’t have a good command of the language you’re ranting in.
You’ll definitely see this category pop up sooner or later =)
GAMES!!!:
I play World of Warcraft (WoW), no, please do not mistake it for the Warcraft 3 game: Defense of the Ancients (DOTA). That game was once fun to play before it degraded - under the hands of immature, childish teenagers, who could score an A1 for English if vulgerities were part of the cirriculum – into a game where a lost somehow equates to the end of the world.
That was a rant. And with each rant that escapes, the urge to create a category for my ranting increases.
Again, I play World of Warcraft and I thoroughly enjoy this game. On November the 13th, a expansion pack will be released and I will create a new category to chronicle my adventures in the new expansion pack. I’ll try to ensure that it’s an entertaining read so that the few non-gamers of you (All of you, really) won’t be deprieved of any reading material from my blog for a few months.
Subsequently, I’ll blog about games that I play in this category =)
Written Works:
I don’t really have to mention this, but meh. I aspire to a best-selling novelist and earn a fraction of what J K Rowling earns. The woman earns millions of dollar by shaking her leg. I only ask for cents/pennies when I shake my leg =P
This category will be where I post up all my written works to be critique by all of you.
- – - – -
And I do believe that’s all I have planned, currently, for the future of this blog. If I ever have the fortune of becoming a moderately attractive person, with a voice that pleases the ears rather than induce night terrors, I’ll CONSIDER video blogging.
Now before I end this post, I beg of you to leave comments on my posts. Yes, I am one those desperate-for-attention bloggers who beg their readers to leave comments/tags. And so, please, I need to feed my children (I’m lying), leave a comment from time to time. Just click on the title of the post and scroll down =)
THINK OF THE CHILDREN! (There’re no children, really)
That is all.

(8) Her Hero and His Love: The Rewrite
Draft 1… done?
I kind of finished draft 1 last night but the last quarter of the story felt really messed up. Every event just started to happen in random bursts and I might have butchered the ending. Consistency is still something I’m not that adept at so it’s something I’ll have to address.
Right now the total word count is a little below 59,000 which means there really isn’t that drastic of an increase in length. This is mainly due to the very reduced ending right now which feels really abrupt after reviewing it just now.
It’s back to the planning stage I guess =(

(7) Her Hero and His Love: The Rewrite
A Different Ending
I’m thinking of changing the concept of the series after reviewing what I’ve rewritten so far. (I noticed a change in the direction of the story which is why I decided to do a review before finishing it)
Basically the concept I had was to write 5 individual stories of which the romance between the male and female leads will have a closed ending, followed by 1 more story of which will star all the main characters from the previous 5 stories.
Meaning it’ll be something like this.
Story 1-5 will each have:
- Male main character
- Female main character
- Their love story
- The series’s story / The plot of the series
And what I mean by closed ending is that, I don’t want their ‘love story’ to spill over onto another story. You will know if they’re going to be together or if they won’t (Haha, you really think I’m going to have a fairytale ending for all of them?) end up together.
There really isn’t anything wrong or bad about not following the original concept, it’s just I’ll be forcing readers to read another book (That has a different plot) just to know how that specific couple’s relationship ends. I don’t know if you agree but it feels like a ploy to force people to read another one of my story.
What I much prefer is for readers to get sort of a ‘closure’ on the ‘love story’ and if they are interested or have enjoyed the story enough, they can continue with the series to find the ending of the series itself.
As opposed to “Oh, you’re going to have to read the next story to find out if they end up together. Too bad.”
I don’t want my readers to feel “Cheated” at the end if they didn’t enjoy the bulk of the story, and just want to settle on knowing if their end up together.
Dilemma.
I’ll just have to continue working on the plot and how the whole series go will in order to make a choice.

E-mail Subscription and RSS Feed
I just want to inform everyone that I have finally implemented an e-mail subscription form and a RSS Feed!
How to use the E-mail Subscription Form:
If you would just look to the sidebar on your right, you can see the “E-mail Subscription” section and below it is a link call, “Click here to subscribe!”
1. Click on that link and it will take you to the Subscription Form. (See image below)
2. Type in your E-mail Address & the Spam-Protection Code. (Provided)
3. Click “Complete Subscription Request”.
4. Check your inbox for a Confirmation E-mail from “confirmations@emailenfuego.net”, and click on the link provided in the E-mail. (See image below)
5. It should take you to the following Confirmed page. (See image below)
6. You’re golden =)
Now whenever I publish a new post on my blog, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that there was an update!
How to use the RSS Feed:
If you would just look to the sidebar on your right, you can see the “RSS Feed” section and below it is an orange icon.
1. Click on the icon
2. You’re golden =)
This function actually depends on your browser but if you understand the function of RSS Feed, it pretty much means that you know how to work it yourself – if you don’t, the e-mail subscription will work just as well.

The One with HARDCORE, MAN!
One could literally laugh him or herself to an early grave should one ever hear me say “Hardcore, man!” in that punk, rock-ish, perhaps a little high on cocaine and deprived-of-life-essence kind of voice.
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and yes, you too, I present to you all…
Pirates of the Caribbean Meets Electric Guitar.
